Endowment Fund contributions help ensure that the legacy started by parents in the Schuyler County community in 1978 continues. Donations supplement limited government funding for vital programs that significantly impact people's daily lives such as residential care with 24 hour assistance, vocational training programs, recreation, prevention, education, disability advocacy, guardianship, pro-bono services, and professional development for staff.
Endowment money is held permanently in trust to support The Arc of Schuyler's programs and services. Interest earned on the principal can be withdrawn to support Chapter activities as designated by the donor or the Board of Directors.
Contributions to the fund supplement limited government funding for programs that significantly impact people’s daily lives such as residential supports, vocational training, recreation, guardianship, prevention, education, staff development, and disability advocacy. Support of the endowment also helps support programs that are not funded by public sources.
