The Arc of Schuyler established the Franklin Street Gallery and Gift Shop as a community arts center to promote the arts in Watkins Glen, Schuyler County, and the surrounding area. The gallery encourages the participation of artists from diverse backgrounds and life experiences and exists to enrich the lives of all citizens in the community.
The Gallery represents more than 50 Finger Lakes regional artists and authors, including artists with developmental disabilities. The Gallery sells original paintings, photographs, prints, ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, glass, metal and wood sculptures, greeting cards, books, and great souvenirs from the Finger Lakes region.
The Gallery is sustained by grants, fees for art, education programs, commissions on sales, and donations from supporters. Donations alleviate operational costs of the Gallery and its programs. The Gallery is sincerely appreciative of the support it receives to advance its mission.
