Recreation Events
The following is a list of recreational activities for July 2008. If you are interested in participating in any of the following events, please contact home services at (607) 535-6934 to sign up. Please call at least one week in advance if you wish to participate, or complete the enclosed sign-up form and return it to the home services office. We can provide limited transportation for individuals, so please indicate weather or not transportation is needed. It is important for everyone to know that, unlike respite programs, one of the goals of the family support program is to have whole families involved. Lack of response may result in activity cancellation.
Charlie and The Chocolate Factory
Where: Odessa-Montour Central School Auditorium
When: Friday, July 11, 2008
Time: 7:00pm-10:00pm
Cost: $10.00
Do you want to see the story of the luckiest boy in the world? Join Sharon for a night of Oompa Loompas, golden tickets, and a most unusual candy maker. Sharon will begin pick-up at 6:30pm. Transportation home will be provided. Please sign-up early, as there is limited seating for this event!
Snoopy
Where: Odessa-Montour Central School Auditorium
When: Friday, July 18, 2008
Time: 7:00pm-10:00pm
Cost: $10.00
Spend an evening being entertained by the Lake Country Players, as they act out the story of Charlie Brown’s pet beagle, Snoopy. Sharon will begin pick-up at 6:30pm. Transportation home will be provided. Seating is limited, so reserve your spot early.
Hector Fireman’s Fair
Where: Hector-Valois-Logan Fireman’s Field, Hector, NY
When: Friday, July 25, 2008
Time: 6:30pm-9:00pm
Cost: $25.00
The Hector Fireman’s Fair is a guaranteed good time! Spend the evening enjoying all of the food, games, and rides. Sharon will begin pick-up at 6:30pm and will provide transportation home. Dress for the weather and be ready to have lots of fun!
Stroller IV-Captain Bill’s Seneca Lake Cruises
Where: Seneca Lake, Watkins Glen, NY
When: Saturday, July 26, 2008
Time: 10:30pm-2:30pm
Cost: $11.00
Explore the waters of Seneca Lake aboard the Stroller IV. See the amazing Hector Falls, majestic cliffs, interesting Native American paintings, and much more! Sharon will begin pick-up for the event at 10:30am. Please dress for the weather, and bring a camera if you’d like! Transportation home will be provided.

Movie Night

Bring your popcorn! Spend the evening sitting back enjoying a good movie with your friends. A meal will be served. Liz will begin pick-up at 5:30pm. Transportation home will be provided.
