The Arc Employees and Community Assist with Holiday Spirit
Watkins Glen, NY - As we all know, the holidays can be overwhelming. This can be particularly true for many families and individuals supported by The Arc of Schuyler as there are often struggles to meet day to day obligations. Thanks to generous contributions made by individuals in the community and by The Arc staff, 10 overflowing baskets of food and holiday treats were created to feed approximately 30 individuals during this holiday season.
A committed team of The Arc employees solicited donations and assembled and delivered the food baskets in addition to performing their regular duties. This was a great effort under the direction of Marie Scott, director of day habilitation. "Many thanks to the businesses and individuals who provided the goods, services and funding necessary to guarantee the success of this annual holiday project" said Jim Wilson, executive director of The Arc.
